About Our Preschool

Our preschool programs provide emotional, physical and educational growth and development of our young students in a friendly, nurturing and safe learning environment. Our carefully planned programs focus on:

•  Encouragement and support of your child’s ability to question, think and problem solve

•  Socialization, communication and self esteem

•  The introduction and practice of early reading skills including phonics and sight reading using a multisensory approach and incorporating Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAPs) recommended by New York State

•  The use of the “Handwriting Without Tears” program to simplify and maximize your child’s early handwriting skills

•  Exploration and creation through hands-on activities and educational field trips

The activities presented throughout the curricula focus on particular themes, introduction of various concepts and include many subject areas: reading, social studies, math, science and physical education.

Participation in the various activities allows children to understand and retain the newly discovered information.

Little Scientists

BLAST OFF into fun and learning! This program was designed to pique an interest of science in curious little minds and to tap into the scientist in each and every one of us. Children will enjoy hands-on activities like pouring, measuring and mixing while learning the processes of prediction, observation, classification, and other important skills; all while having fun! Each week will bring a new science adventure that will have your child excited to be a part of this great program!

Enrichment Program For 3’s

During this 2 1/2 hour program, your child will further enhance their education through review and practice of their letters, numbers and colors and work on their phonics skills in our very special Enrichment room.

Your child does not have be enrolled in our preschool to reap the benefits of this special enrichment class.

Kindergarten Enrichment

Is your child really going to be ready for Kindergarten? During this 3 hour program, your child will practice their handwriting, review their letters, numbers and colors, work on their sight reading program and phonics skills all in an effort to be ready for Kindergarten.

Your child does not have be enrolled in our preschool to reap the benefits of this special enrichment class.

Little Athletes

Children will exercise their body and their brain! Each class will begin with a different warm up exercise each week. While jumping, hopping, throwing, skipping, crab walking and dancing, students will experience pantomime and other dramatic play while reinforcing the concepts of sorting and matching, identifying colors, opposites and shapes.

Boost their imagination and memory skills with physical activity. They will be going on scavenger hunts and engaging in sport style activities as they play, learn, share, take turns and make friends. Children will enjoy our air conditioned classroom and outdoor playground. What better way to spend cold winter days!

Little Artists

Little Artists is a very special program designed specifically for the inquiring minds of preschoolers. For children, art is a gateway to their imaginations. Where we see circles, squiggly lines and dots, they see images and stories. Our program will help their imagination come to life and help them express their natural creative ability!

Your child will also have the opportunity to develop their fine motor skills while discovering colors and shapes using various artistic media. Through painting, coloring and various crafts their art work will come alive and their creative juices will flow. Find out how truly creative and imaginative your child really is.

Little Chefs

Do you see a little “Master Chef” emerging in your child? Would you like to? We can help unleash the cooking beast! This new curriculum is stuffed with healthy FUN and good nutrition lessons. Your child will have a great time learning about the rules of the kitchen, safety and how to mix a variety of ingredients that create some delicious and unusual treats. There will be many different foods used so please alert us to any food allergies and / or dietary restrictions.

Little Actors

“Little Actors” is the newest addition of exciting drop off programs for preschoolers here at CFA. This program is the ultimate self-confidence builder and self-esteem booster! Your child will build and improve their communication skills as they learn the importance of being able to speak confidently in front of others!

They will also learn to patiently follow directions, wait for their turn and make what they want to say count. A great way to reinforce good manners and socialization skills. During this very special program, a book will be introduced to the students during the classes which they will bring to life. The children will spend each class doing creative exercises, making costumes, props, backdrops and creating art. They will also be practicing for a special performance of the book for parents during the final class! Please mark your calendar and join us.

Enrollment Information

	To qualify for enrollment, your child must be the required age for their program by December 1st of the school year.
	A copy of your child’s birth certificate must be submitted at the time of registration.
	CFA is a peanut-free zone! No snacks containing peanuts, peanut oil or peanut butter will be served without prior approval. We ask that parents adhere to this policy when bringing in treats for special occasions such as birthdays.
	Upon registration, we require that families complete our Family Contact & Emergency Form, especially noting any allergies.
	Toilet training is not required though we strongly encourage that your child be introduced to the idea. We also want you to know that our staff will work with you and your child to support the progress being made.
	CFA offers 2 payment plans for your convenience: monthly coupon payment book or automatic credit card deduction.
